How to Set an Ultra Pro or Any Lace Up Suit with Trigger Warning Conjugate

The Right Way To Set A Lace-Up Squat Suit

Lace-up squat suits look complicated. They're really not.

The problem is most people treat them like two separate sides when they're actually one system.

At the end of the day, an Ultra Pro or any lace-up suit is basically two pieces of canvas held together by string.

That means if you completely tighten one side before touching the other side, the entire suit shifts. The fit changes. The pressure changes. And it's not going to feel right.

The first thing you need to do is put the straps on as tight as possible.

When you're setting the suit, crank them down.

This gives you a consistent starting point and ensures the suit is positioned evenly on your body.

Most suits have three sections. On your first pass, you're not trying to make the suit tight. You're simply snugging each section.

Do one section on one side. Then immediately do the exact same section on the opposite side. Work side-to-side.

Never complete one entire side before starting the other.

Once you've gone through all three sections and established your baseline, start tightening.

Again, section by section, side-to-side.

When you're done, fold the strings, tie them into a bow, and tuck them back into themselves.

That's the goal.
