Stop going side-to-side trying to make chains match.
Watch enough lifters set up chains and you'll start seeing the same thing.
They hook one side up. Then the other. Then back to the first side. Then back to the second side.
Next thing you know, five minutes have passed and the bar still isn't even.
Here's a simple fix.
Take both leader chains and put them on the same side of the bar.
Now loop both chain sets into those leaders and compare them side-by-side.
Immediately, you'll be able to see if they're even. If they're off, make a quick adjustment right there.
Once they're matched, take one of the chain sets and move it to the opposite side of the bar. Then add any additional chains you need.
That's it.
No guessing, running back and forth, or uneven loading.
