MRI results are in.
All the muscles in my forearm are intact.
My tricep has as much as a 50% tear, and the deep tendon is still attached.
THE GOOD NEWS? I didn't blow anything completely off.
THE BAD PART? Things are a bit sketchy because I don't exactly how much I can push.
I'm obviously not happy about this. That said, I know that things are moving in the right direction. My elbow is better off today than it was a week ago.
WHAT I'M DOING ABOUT IT
All the rehab and recovery I can. I'm actually falling back onto a lot of the stuff I learned from Louie - specifically the overspeed eccentric of band pushdowns and creating a hypertrophic effect in the tendons.
MORE BLOOD FLOW = MORE HEALING
GOING FORWARD
It sucks but I'm not going to quit. I'm not going to walk away from it. It is what it is. I'm still going to do the WPO. I'm just going to have to figure out my bench press. I'm going to continue pushing forward.
My current plan is to stay 50-100 pounds less than I think I can do for the next couple weeks. THE PREP DOESN'T STOP.
If the doctor tells me that I can run it, I'm going to run it. If they tell me that I'm going to need surgery, then I'm going to wait till after the WPO.
