Why is Your Bar So Unstable Coming Out of the Monolift?

Stable squats are better.

If your bar is shaking when you take it out of the monolift, you’re the problem... not the equipment.

You’re snapping it out instead of squeezing it out.

If it’s 500 pounds, it only takes 501 to move it. Don’t jerk it like you’re trying to rip it out of the rack. Push into it with smooth, even pressure, like pressing down on a gas pedal.

Controlled pressure equals controlled movement.

You’re also probably squatting against bands too much. Bands help, but they can do too much of the work for you. They stabilize the bar and take away your need to. Stop relying on them every week. Use them as a tool, not a crutch.

And your bracing? It’s off. Don’t suck your abs in or flex them like you’re showing off. Push out 360 degrees against your belt — front, sides, and back.

Fill the belt evenly with pressure. That’s real stability.

The monolift isn’t the problem. Once you know how to use it, it’s a great tool. Until then, it’s exposing your weaknesses.

Smooth pressure. Strong brace. Less shaking. That’s how you fix it.
