Believe.
I competed yesterday, two weeks after bombing out. I didn’t have the luxury of waiting until things felt perfect again because I needed a qualifying total this year.
And honestly? This should’ve been an easy day for the old version of me. Back when I was pulling 700 like it was my job.
But that’s not where I’m at right now. My knee’s still trashed, warm-ups felt awful, and I know a few people in the room were wondering what the hell I was doing.
But here’s the truth: I believed in myself anyway.
That belief is why I didn’t quit mid-meet. That belief is why I kept taking attempts when everything said I shouldn’t. I decided I was going to be the guy who got it done.
You can do the same. If you genuinely believe in yourself, you give yourself the best possible outcome every time.
