They don't matter. | #TWCMENTALMONDAY 4.20.26

They don't matter.

People who quit something love to tell you how stupid it is afterward. It wasn’t stupid when they were doing it, but now it is.

You see it all the time in powerlifting. Someone retires or steps away, then goes on a crusade online talking about how the sport is trash.

If someone removes themselves from something and then tries to tear it down, their opinion doesn’t mean much. If they actually cared, they’d try to make it better.

Maybe they’re frustrated. Maybe they’re injured. Maybe they’re not where they want to be anymore.

I’ve been dealing with injuries for almost two years, and not once did I think powerlifting was stupid. Not once did I feel the need to trash it publicly.

Be stoked about what you’re doing. Don’t listen to people who aren’t even doing it anymore.
